The recent premiere of the official video for "March" has the record industry and airwaves buzzing with intrigue. And, this is just the beginning...

George Tandy, Jr. creates brilliant music that is rich with honesty, vulnerability and raw emotion. He is not your typical church singing choir boy or even a classically trained vocalist or pianist, but his messages are conveyed clearly and powerfully. Fans often refer to his voice as hypnotizing and pure. Each piece of music creates an inner journey to a time and place that is unique to the listener. Whether it is about sex, relationships, or worldly affairs you will feel every moment in the song. You can call it R&B, Folk Music or even call it Jazz. Some call it Soul with a hint of Hip Hop and note his Classical music influences. No matter what you call it, you are correct every time. George personally prefers to call his music "Soulternative." Regardless of genre, his sound is certainly unique and George is determined to gain fans, supporters, as well as, new friends, one song at a time. He believes that music heals people. Soon people all across the world will be proudly stating, "I am TeamTandy!" once they get a taste.
George Tandy Jr. simply comes alive on stage! He creates songs with a witty and introspective mind, and performs them with an electrifying charm that absolutely takes over any venue! Born into a family of artists, music lovers and entertainers George developed a passion for entertaining. Sounds have always intrigued him. As a child you could find George listening intensely to any genre of music, attempting to pick out every instrument in the song. He was inspired early on by his father, George Tandy Sr., a well accomplished jazz musician and producer. Thru the years George have developed the tools and confidence he needed to realize his dreams by cultivating his writing skills, his ear for melody, and his natural ability to entertain. After years of writing and recording songs with his extremely talented siblings as well as training, performing, competing, and touring the world as a hip hop dancer, GTJ decided to venture out as a solo artist. Armed with only his voice and his keyboard he took to the stage. The south Florida spoken word poetry nights and "open mic" scene gained him thousands of dedicated supporters.
George Tandy, Jr. has combined his talent with an independent label, RedStar Entertainment (A Division of Redline Media Group).
With the right team now in place the sky is the limit! Be on the lookout for songs from his first solo project entitled, "The Foundation."
Be a part of TeamTandy!

Maine Tech The Great

Maine Tech The Great born in Willingboro NJ. At the age of 5 moved to Trenton NJ. Lived in every section of Trenton NJ with the exception of South Trenton. It was a Friday night on a three way with classmates from PJ Hill Elementary School that inspired Maine Tech The Great to become a Rap Artist. Maine Tech The Great was listening to tracks recorded by his fellow classmates and was fascinated by their music as well as the quality. The very next morning Maine Tech The Great looked around his bedroom and thought to himself how could he record a track with what he had in his possession? He then took a single speaker radio with a built in mic and his mini bookshelf stereo to play an instrumental while he began freestyling, using the radio to record both himself & the instrumental. He played his first recording for his now late Grand mother Mary J. Dobine, late Uncle William Dobine, and his friends threw out the neighborhood. Maine Tech The Great took Rap seriously immediately after receiving a lot of attention from who ever was willing to listen to his recordings and hear him rap in person. Threw out the Tri-State area at the age of 12 he had a buzz from mix tapes, talent shows, and etc. His first performance was televised at the age of 13 in the Penn’s Landing Section of Philadelphia where he was offered multiple contracts from indie labels immediately after his performance. Maine Tech The Great also had two guest appearances on a Local Radio Station based in Vineland NJ, as well as had his music played on that very same radio station.

Mark Ronson - "White guy in the Bruno Mars video" in Grammy spotlight" Bringin' Back The Funk" - With A little help from RG's All Nite Funk Band

"White guy in the Bruno Mars video" in Grammy spotlight

One of the year's biggest hits, "Uptown Funk," was performed at the Superbowl halftime show.
Bruno Mars was the front man who gave the song the groove to stay at number one on Billboard's Hot 100 for a record 14 weeks. But what's sometimes forgotten is that the song actually belongs to the "white guy" sitting on the front of the white limo in its music video -- music producer Mark Ronson, reports CBS News correspondent Ben Tracy.
"It's pretty dead on. The white guy in the Bruno Mars video - everyone knows who they're talking about," Ronson said. "It's like, 'Yeah right, that guy with the guitar and the tall guy, sure.'"

It was Ronson's album, "Uptown Special," that contained the hit song that featured Bruno Mars. The album is nominated for three Grammys. Ronson and Mars could also bring home "Record of the Year" honors.
They recorded an agonizing 87 versions of the song, then worried the word "funk" might be kind of lame.
"Even 'til the last minute there are people like, 'I don't know if you call it, 'Uptown Funk,' like maybe you should call it 'Just Watch,'" Ronson said.

"My guess is if you went up to 10 people on the street and said, 'Whose song is Uptown Funk?' they would say 'Bruno Mars.' Does it bother you?" Tracy asked.

"No. I would be just as happy to be honest... if we'd produced that record for Bruno's album and it had done as well," Ronson said.
Ronson made a name for himself producing Amy Winehouse's critically acclaimed 2006 album, "Back to Black," which won five Grammys. He recalled the casual conversation about Winehouse's family that led to their biggest hit, "Rehab."

"We were walking around SoHo in New York where my old studio used to be and she says, 'Yeah, and they all came over to my house.' And I was like, 'What happened?'" Ronson recalled. "'Well, they tried to make me go to rehab. But I was like, 'no, no, no.'"

Ronson said he was unaware at the time of how troubled Winehouse really was. The Oscar-nominated documentary, "Amy," chronicles her stunning rise and tragic fall into substance abuse that ended in her death at age 27.

"I've actually seen it twice," Ronson said. "It's difficult to watch. I love the first hour because it's like spending time with an old friend again."
It was Ronson's friendship with Winehouse that led him to another young British woman writing her first album - Adele.
"She instantly seemed so grown up and mature, like not just musically and her voice, but she knew what she wanted," Ronson said.
Ronson produced songs for both "19" and Adele's latest smash album, "25."
But it was working music royalty - Sir Paul McCartney - that made Ronson most nervous.
"It's incredible. It's utterly terrifying. I mean it's everything rolled into one -- you have to just get over that 'Holy crap, I'm working with Paul McCartney' thing really quickly because you've just got to be on your toes," Ronson said.
These days, Ronson is settling into his newfound fame and the realization that it may be hard to top his latest success.
"The thing to remember is, like, where 'Uptown Funk' came from, that moment of joy, inspiration, playing the music that you really love and then fine tuning the living heck out," Ronson said.
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS Monday, Feb. 15, 2016.
